Saturday 29th August - Skeeby Leek club annual show

Skeeby Village Hall Plant & Produce sale 1pm onwards

Skeeby village hall plant and produce sale with the leek club.

Profits to be split between Village Hall and the Leek Club.

Please bring your excess plants and any produce you can spare

Cakes, rhubarb etc

Judith and Helen will be at the hall from 11am to receive your donations.

The actual sale will start at 1pm

There will be tea and coffee available to buy.

Saturday 29th August - Skeeby Leek club annual show

This year the main vegetable and flower categories, showing and judging will take place in the Village Hall as per usual.

Whilst everything else will take place in the Travellers Rest pub.

Please bring your produce to the Village Hall on the morning of the show between 10am and 12 midday.

The main judging will take place at 1pm.

The village hall will then be open to the public between 2pm and 4pm

The Travellers Rest pub will host the following.

Cake competition, judged again by Nicola & Ryan.

Ryan’s famous leek soup will be available to buy.

Free tea and coffee funded by leek club.

The leek club raffle, to buy tickets and view raffle prizes.

Chutney and Jam sale.

The following categories will take place at the pub;

Leek club ‘Heaviest home grown potato’ (to be weighed on the day)

Leek club ‘Fun leek’ (open to public vote)

Leek club ‘Most wonky/miss shaped vegetable’ (open to public vote)

Best Amateur photo of Skeeby, anywhere in our village and any subject (This will also be open to public vote)

We are planning on having cheese, biscuits and chutney at the presentation again (time TBC) and can we politely ask, if anyone would like to bring a contribution it will be greatly appreciated and eaten with gusto!
